PEACE WITH IRAN

A U.S. attack on Iran would have disastrous consequences

  • The U.S. government is already spending $10 billion a month on the Iraq war, over $225,000 per minute on the war.   Every minute of that war costs the equivalent of hiring seven new New Hampshire teachers for a year.   Can we afford the cost of an Iran war, too?

  • The U.S. military could be pushed to the point of collapse.   Already the Iraq war has left “U.S. military forces, especially our ground forces … stretched nearly to the breaking point,” according to the bipartisan Iraq Study Group.

  • U.S. aerial bombardment of Iran and its nuclear facilities could lead to substantial Iranian civilian casualties, causing more hatred of the U.S. in the Islamic world.
